Quality & compliance
Children's products fail at customs and on marketplace listings for documentation reasons far more often than for quality ones. We treat the paperwork as part of the order.
ArtAmber issues Children's Product Certificates (CPC) to its customers, citing ASTM F963-17, CPSIA Section 101 for total lead, Section 108 for phthalates, and 16 CFR 1500.44 for flammability of solids. It also issues CEC certificates for EU-bound shipments, holds an amfori BSCI ethical audit report under continuous renewal, and arranges EN71-1, EN71-2 and EN71-3 testing per product and per order. The Artamber trademark is registered with the USPTO under registration number 6,103,360. Inspection runs at three stages: incoming material, in-line during production, and final random inspection before loading.
What we can issue
CPC — Children's Product Certificate
Issued in your importer's name for US-bound shipments. Cites ASTM F963-17 (mechanical, physical, flammability, total lead, heavy elements), CPSIA Title I Section 101 (total lead), Section 108 (phthalates) and CPSC 16 CFR 1500.44.
CEC — CE conformity
Issued for EU-bound shipments against the applicable toy safety directive, with the test reference for your specific product.
amfori BSCI
Ethical audit report on the production site, kept under continuous renewal. Available to buyers who require social compliance evidence in their vendor onboarding.
EN71 / ASTM F963 testing
EN71-1 (mechanical & physical), EN71-2 (flammability) and EN71-3 (migration of certain elements) booked per product against the approved golden sample.
USPTO trademark
Artamber is a registered US trademark, Reg. No. 6,103,360, registered 14 July 2020 in International Classes 27 and 28.
Documents on request
Business licence, test reports, audit reports and material declarations are supplied on request as part of vendor onboarding.
Certificates are issued per product and per order, in your importer's name. We do not publish customers' certificates here, because a CPC names the importing company — yours will not be shown to anyone else either.
Inspection at three stages
Incoming material
EVA density and thickness, board weight, textile composition and paint batches checked against the approved specification before they enter production.
In-line during production
First-article check at line start, then rolling checks on print registration, die-cut accuracy, magnet retention, stitch strength and small-part pull force.
Final random inspection
AQL sampling on finished cartons before loading — function, appearance, packaging, labelling, barcode and carton marks. Third-party inspection is welcome and we will host it.
Design decisions that affect safety
Most children's product recalls trace back to design choices, not manufacturing defects. Small parts, magnet flux, cord length, battery access and coating composition are settled at the sample stage — before tooling — and re-checked against the standard your destination market enforces.
