Key features
- Each sound box represents one phoneme element, promoting identification of consonants, consonant digraphs, vowels, vowel digraphs, glued sounds, suffixes and prefixes.
- Tiles are colour-coded into distinct groups covering digraphs, trigraphs, phonemes, R-controlled vowels and vowel teams.
- Strong ESL teaching material for children learning English as a second language, and for regular speech-development work.
- Thick premium foam stands up to rough play while building fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and vocabulary.
Frequently asked about this product
Which phoneme groups are covered, and can the colour-coding be changed?
The set covers consonants, consonant digraphs, vowels, vowel digraphs, glued sounds, trigraphs, R-controlled vowels, vowel teams, prefixes and suffixes, each in its own colour group. The colour scheme is a print change, not a tooling change — US structured-literacy programmes and UK synthetic-phonics programmes group sounds differently, so we match the scheme taught in your destination market rather than shipping one global version.
How thick are the tiles and will they survive daily classroom use?
The tiles are cut from thickened EVA foam rather than the thin die-cut sheet used in promotional sets, so they hold their shape after being dropped, stepped on and swept off a desk repeatedly. The magnetic backing is laminated across the full face, not spot-glued, which is what usually fails first on cheaper sets.
What safety testing applies to EVA foam products?
EVA parts are tested to EN71-3 for migration of certain elements and EN71-1 for mechanical and physical properties, plus EN71-2 flammability where the piece is large enough to matter. For US-bound orders we cite ASTM F963-17 together with CPSIA Section 101 total lead and Section 108 phthalates. Where the set contains magnets, magnet flux index is measured rather than assumed, and small-part pull force is checked in line during production.
What is the minimum order quantity, and can I get a sample first?
The cutting die and artwork for this EVA line already exist, so the minimum is low and lead time is short. Samples ship within about a week and the cost is normally credited against the first production order. Changing colours, piece count or the printed artwork is a die-free change — only a genuinely new shape needs a new die, which we quote separately.
