What is in the set and how are the quantities distributed?
35 pieces in four colours: 1×12 pcs, 2×8, 3×4, 4×4, 5×2, 6×1, 7×1, 8×1, 9×1 and 10×1. The distribution is deliberately weighted toward the small numbers, because that is what children actually run out of when building number staircases and working on number bonds.
What does the translucency add over ordinary counting blocks?
On a light table, light passing through the block makes quantity visible as brightness and length at the same time — an opaque block cannot do that. With the light table off, the same set works as an ordinary manipulative, so it is not a single-purpose purchase.
What safety testing applies to the translucent acrylic blocks?
Acrylic and polystyrene parts are tested to EN71-1 for mechanical and physical properties, with particular attention to impact and drop behaviour since a cracked translucent block creates a sharp edge. EN71-3 covers element migration. For US-bound orders we cite ASTM F963-17 and CPSIA Section 101. Wall thickness is specified so the blocks survive being stood on, which they will be.
What is the minimum order quantity, and can I get a sample first?
The acrylic mould for this line already exists, so the minimum reflects material and machine time rather than tooling investment. Samples ship within about a week. Colour and piece distribution are configurable per order; a new block geometry would need a new mould, which we quote and prototype separately.
